Established in 1994, specializing in potato field machinery, the company quickly grew into one of the most successful specialist root crop and vegetable machinery manufacturers in the UK. We are a family business, owned and managed by Derek and Sonia Scott, with brother-in-law Matt Shaw taking charge of design and development with extended members of the family within the workforce.

“We are from a farming background going back at least four generations” says Derek Scott.

As the industry has dramatically changed over the last few years, we have drawn on our extensive knowledge of potato handling, dating back some 30 years, and have emerged as a fully fledged design and manufacturing business. Our core business is based around producing highly innovative machinery to service the potato, root crop, allium, and vegetable markets.

We are based 10 miles north of Boston on the east coast of Lincolnshire, traditionally known as the ‘vegetable basket of the UK’ with an industry turnover of £1bn. Engineering businesses from this area of the country have been responsible for huge leaps forward in mechanization and labor savings since the early 1900’s. We are very proud to be part of that heritage and enjoy the support of some of the best local subcontractors in the agricultural industry.

Currently, we supply our range of products to more than 30 countries around the world through our ever increasing dealer network. In 2025, we proudly celebrated 30 years since the company was established. As we look to the future, we are now welcoming the next generation into the business, continuing the family tradition and commitment to innovation, quality engineering, and supporting the farming industry.
